Practicum I Course Description:Practicum 1 will introduce the student to a diverse classroom setting at an elementary, middle school and / or high school level. The student will observe children and practice techniques under the guidance of a Department of Public Instruction (DPI) certified teacher.
Practicum II Course Description:Apply the skills learned in previous program courses in a school setting while under the supervision of a Department of Public Instruction (DPI) certified teacher. Students support children with special education needs and programming. Job search skills will be addressed and a professional portfolio will be completed.
Reflection These two assignments are the same just from different years. With these assignments we learned how to communicate and collaborate with the teachers we were going to be working with for our practicum. This is important to know because you want to sound professional when communicating and collaborating with either a fellow co-worker, future reference, or future employer.
